You don't see that everyday.

a has-been rockstar was telling me his story with tears in his eyes...
an old world war 2 motorcycle rode by...olive green...a man and his dog...The dog was in the side-car...wearing matching googles and the same intent expression...you don't see that everyday...he said as his eyes came back to the present moment...I could see them in my minds eye...the bike idling at a red light...man and dog looking each other in the eye...the dog panting, the man winking... and simultaneously they take a glance around the traffic...just to see who thinks they look cool.

Cain and Abel.

He worships success and money and prostrates himself before power...I worship none but liberty and I bow to no man. Everything he touches turns to silver and gold, and still he looks at me...alive and free...with envy and jealousy...like cain and abel. From two different worlds, coexisting on the same plane of existence...fallen angels...beings of shadows and light...lost children...searching for our home. Walk with me my brother...the garden awaits.

Beware of the Shephard.

I feel like i've somehow broke thru to the other side...crashing thru a brick wall and realized that it was just an illusion...it exists only in the minds of the legions..to break thru to the other side is to destroy the illusion...there is a time to create and a time to destroy...the temple is torn down only to be rebuilt again from the ruins...The slaves crave the direction of the shephard...they are blind sheep...fattened lambs led to the slaughter...drained of their blood that is spilled on the horns of the alter and their quarters divided among the priests...Evil shephards always call out "Beware, there is a lion in the path!" They use fear and manipulation to capture, imprison, and enslave my people.

A gurilla's farewell.

Your name will echo to the heavens on the wings of my last breath...may freedom ring forever in your ears...May the sun shine on your shoulders and the love light in your eyes always be there to dry away your tears.

Katrina

She was a voodoo woman from New Orleans; he was a burnt-out hippie from Nashville, Tennessee. They met on a Friday night in Jackson Square. He’d been busking on Royal and he needed a light, she had a candle and she was such a sight, behind her Tarot card table and her card-board sign. She read him his fortune and he sang her a song, they stayed out all night long on the bank of the river sipping some home-made wine. Singing Blow, Blow Hurricane, bring on your wind and bring on your rain. Ain’t you gonna put up more of a fight. Blow, Blow hurricane I’m walking against the wind and I can’t feel no pain cuz I’m holding on to something real tonight. Well the floods came up as the rain poured down, they held each other close and there was chaos all around and when the sun came up they were holding each other tight. Singing blow, blow, hurricane bring on your wind and bring on your rain. Ain’t you gonna put up more of a fight? Blow, blow, hurricane I’m walking against the wind and I can’t feel no pain cuz I’m holding on to something real tonight.

Me and the Road and Mary-Jane.

I’m hitching out of this town tomorrow
Today I’m gonna get stoned in the sun
And drink the last ounce of my sorrow
Cuz I’m a lonely gypsy on the run
I’ve wandered 40 years in the desert
Paddled round in circles in the swamp
Travelled a thousand dusty, lonely, highways
Searching for a place to call my home
I’ve sailed across the ocean
Chased the sun to where it sets
And I’ve seen the dark side of the moon
I’ve rode the rails and walked the trails and slept beneath the stars
And danced with the needle and the spoon
I’ve been searching high and low girl
From the Carolinas to the Frisco Bay
Searching for that garden that somehow was lost along the way
I don’t know where I’m headed
I’m searching for a long lost paradise
But I see the road to heaven
Every time I look into your eyes
I’ve sailed across the ocean
Chased the sun to where it sets
And I’ve seen the dark side of the moon
I’ve rode the rails and walked the trails
And slept beneath the stars
I’ve danced with the needle and the spoon
Won’t you come with me tomorrow
I’m travelling towards the promised land
I’m leaving Babylon
Far across this desert sand
I can promise you a home girl
In my arms underneath the stars
They say there’s mansions up in glory
But I don’t think that heaven’s very far
I can promise you the world girl
I’ll take you on a magic carpet ride
They say the time we have is borrowed
Baby I want you by my side
You know I can’t stay here with you girl
The high-ways and the by-ways call my name
So won’t you come with me tomorrow
Join me and the road and mary jane

Soldiers Song

A soldier falls today, who will sing his song? His carriage waits beside the sea, would you care to come along? A child cries today who will dry her tears? Who will sing a lullaby to wash away her fears? A blind man stumbles today who will be his guide? Who will take him by the hand and humbly be his guide? Awaken from your slumber it’s time to make your stand time slips through our finger like tiny grains of sand, footprints on the shore, guide my way back home, I must haste before they’re washed by salty foam. Tears fall like rain to the sea from the sky, the carriage now awaits for tomorrow we will die. I lift my hands up high as the black cloud hides the sun. Tears falling from the sky land on everyone. Awaken from your slumber, it’s time to make amends, the flood waters are drowning humanity for her sins then I heard a voice calling from the shore Peace, be still he said and the rain ceased to pour.
