First of all, he starts off his quintology with " In the beginning..." and goes on to give a play by play account of the creation of the Universe...like he was there...and tells the story of his birth and how his mother made a basket and hid it in the reeds and wept nearby as she waited for the princess to find him...like he remembers that...and then for the rest of his quintology he refers to himself in the third person...the last chapter where he writes his own obituary is especially interesting...
In the beginning God created...here is Moses introducing the creator/creation paradigm...the heavens and the Earth...like he is the inventor of this mechanism... a machine needs an operator... it is not a conscious and sentient being itself...it has no self perpetuating energy...no free will...it needs constant maintenance and fuel and cannot operate without outside dictation...this heavens and Earth that Moses speaks of is a mechanical construct... that the Lord put a firmament between... God created the heavens and the Earth out of what? The earth was without form and void...Dust...primordial pre-solar dust...the remnants of decomposed organic matter before there was even organic matter at all...from the dust he breathes life into hisimage the ruler of the dunghill...Beelzebub!
Your Father is the Devil! The God that created good and evil...made a firmament between the heavens and the Earth...the God that cursed the woman and the man...cast them out of the garden...the God that did not accept the sacrifice of produce from the Earth but lusted after the spilled blood of the spotless and blameless firstborn lamb...the God that exiled Cain into the barren lands where no produce grows...the God that saw the firstborn of Abraham exiled the same...the God that created enmity between the snake and the woman and the woman and the man and divided brothers into nations...Your father is the devil! The God that created his own arch enemy casting him from the heavens to the earth...that confused the languages... your Father is the Devil! Ruler over the Dunghill...the Accuser of the brethren... the deciever, the Destroyer... the God that separated the world into Jew and Gentile... This is the God of confusion...and division..
The concept of the Universe as a mechanical construct implies a hierarchy of God's...personified archetypes of natural phenomenons...or a God with a hierarchy of priests...a machine needs constant maintenance and fuel and cannot operate without dictation from an outside entity... a mechanical construct necessitates a hierarchy of priests to govern it.
Moses, the self appointed arbitrator of the creator of the Universe and commander in chief of the Israeli army appoints his brother (wherever he came from) the high priest...good Ole boy shit...and then his father in law, Jethro, ...not making this up... convinces him to appoint judges over tens and over hundreds...
The irony of the commander in chief of the Israeli army carving thou shall not kill on a tablet of stone and heaving it on the heads of his own people, actually killing quite a few of them is lost on the Christian.
